Idella Mae Josephine Blum

May 21 ~ August 18, 2012

Idella Mae Josephine Burlew Blum was born in Provo, Utah on May 21st 1932. She passed away peacefully in Wilmington, Delaware on August 18th 2012. She was 80 years old.

Del worked tirelessly the last half of her life in helping hundreds of people deal with Alcoholism. She worked as a volunteer within the local Salvation Army chapter for many years. She comes from a very rich and colorful family history of Pioneers, Early Settlers and Trail Blazers. She had an infectious personality an inviting smile and a very funny sarcastic humor that disarmed all who meet her.

She gave more in life than she ever took. She knew her weakness and strengths and was deeply honest about her failures and grateful for her successes. She was in love with the idea of love and sought to love and be loved on her own terms and in her own ways. She was deeply loved by all who truly knew her!

She is survived by her Brother John Burlew of Mesa Arizona and Debbie (Delores) Miller of Riverdale, Utah. She is also survived by her three children Dennis Conforto of San Diego, California , Roseanne Conforto of Las Vegas , Nevada and Sebastian Conforto of Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . In addition she has 12 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Timpanogos 7th Ward Chapel, 308 East 500 North, Pleasant Grove where friends and family may attend a viewing from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m.  Interment will in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
