Arnold K West, 78, of American Fork passed away Monday, April 6, 2015. He was born on February 7, 1937 in Stockton, Utah to William Isaac and Josephine Luvisa Carrell West. He was the fifth child of six.\n\nHe attended schools in Stockton and Tooele. He later enlisted in the Navy on September 7, 1954 where he served in the South Pacific, Korean conflict where he held the rank of TM3 on the USS Taussig DD746 until December 27, 1957. Upon returning he married his sweetheart Mary Helen Nerdin on March 8, 1958 in Evanston, Wyoming. Together they had four children.\n\nArnold loved being outdoors and spending time with his family.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Mary Helen, their children: Loralei (Larry) Burbank, Michael K West, Penny (Wade) Elkins, and Candace (Vernon) Church. 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.\n\nFuneral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the American Fork Seventh Ward Chapel, 688 West 500 North with a viewing from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the services.
