Beverly Davis

–

Pleasant Grove, Utah

Beverly Miller Davis passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at her home in American Fork, Utah surrounded by her children. She was born on March 8, 1933, in Panguitch, Utah to Calvin and Velta Miller.

In her youth, she spent much time at her father’s sheep camp. He lovingly named her his “Tilty Lamb,” which was later shortened to “Tilt,” a nickname she was affectionately called throughout high school. Beverly was active and spirited, participating in drama, chorus, speech, pep club and the social committee. During her freshman year in 1948, she was honored as the FFA Sweetheart and spent a memorable week in Salt Lake City with other young women throughout Utah.

On February 13, 1951, Beverly married her high school sweetheart, Robert Lyman Davis, in the Mesa Arizona Temple just before he was drafted into the Korean War. Their marriage was a partnership of deep love, unwavering faith, and shared adventure. They were blessed with 6 children and 67 years together until Robert’s passing in 2018. Though Beverly found joy after Bob’s passing, she often spoke of the joy she anticipated in being reunited with him, and we can imagine their reunion was filled with an overwhelming joy and happiness.

Being raised on a farm, where she herded cows, it gave her great practice for later herding her children.

Home was always happy with Mom at the center. While dad may have been the breadwinner, mom was the breadmaker and the heart of the home. A gift that, thankfully, was passed down to her children. Everyone remembers, when coming to her home, the fond memory of her delicious homemade bread with butter and jam.

Beverly was also a gifted seamstress. She could create and sew almost anything – school clothes, prom, wedding dresses, and countless late-night projects. Her hands were always busy, and her creations were always made with love.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Beverly served faithfully in many leadership positions and teaching roles. She led by example- cheerful, steady, and full of quiet strength, letting things roll off her back with grace.

Her faith was central to her life. She and Bob served three Spanish-speaking missions in Mexico, Chile, and Puerto Rico/Dominican Republic. They also served at the Church’s Conference Center, Mutual Dell and many years as temple workers in the Provo and Timpanogos Temples.
Mom and Dad were always together in life, and now they are together again in death.

She is deeply loved and adored by her family. She is survived by her children, sons; Craig (Paula) and Brent (Anna), daughters; Debra, Barbara (Marty), Pamela, and Paula (Mark). 24 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and her brother, Richard (Margene). She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Calvin and Velta, her brothers; John and Robert, her sister, Barbara and her grandson David Crane.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Intermountain Hospice and the 38th LDS Ward for their compassionate service.
