Bill Elwood Jacklin, 75, of Pleasant Grove passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home, twelve days after his sweetheart Janet passed away. Bill was born February 2, 1938 in American Fork to Raymond John and Anna Vera Olsen Jacklin. He married Joyce Meredith and together had a daughter, Sherrill. They were later divorced. He married Janet Brand, May 21, 1975 in Provo and was blessed with another daughter, Christine.\n\nBill grew up in American Fork and attended schools there. He worked at Geneva Steel for many years and later for Alpine School District as a Custodian. He proudly served in the Utah Army National Guard for four years. Bill was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed camping and hunting with family and friends.\n\nBill is survived by his two daughters: Sherrill Jacklin of Orem and Christine Kearley of Lindon; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.\n\nGraveside services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing prior to services at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove from 9:30-10:30 am.
