Boyd Gines, 80 years old, from Salina Utah passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in his home from lung cancer. He was born November 23, 1935 in Heber, Utah to Ralph and Lorna Gines. He attended school in Kamas, Provo, and Pleasant Grove, Utah.\n\nBoyd married Sibyl Ann Huntsman October 19, 1955 they became the parents of two children Boyd Richard and Kellean Lyean. This union ended in divorce. He then married Donna Alex to this union two sons were born Kenneth Mac and Michael Wayne Gines. This marriage dissolved and he again married Sibyl Huntsman Bennett in 1983.\n\nHe completed military service in the Army, which is where he learned to do line work, which became his life work for 42 years.\n\nBoyd is survived by wife Sibyl Gines and his children: Boyd Richard & Maxine Bennett, Kellean Lyean & Brent Halladay, Kenneth Mac & Stacy Gines, Michael Wayne & Penny Gines. By his brothers Russell & Eldora Gines, Elder Ralph Jr & Lynn Gines, and sisters Karen & Jay Keller and Donna Rae & Grant Gibson; And his Step-Children: Garrett & Julie Bennett, Lori & Mark Clutter, Jerri & Alan Ivey, Sharon Anderson and Kirk Johnson; 27 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.\n\nBoyd was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Lorna Gines, his bothers Melvin and Gerald Gines; grandchildren, Traci Bennett and Makia Bennett, and two great-grandchildren Nicole Brianna Noyes and William Devey.\n\nThe Gines family appreciates the loving care of the Alpine Hospice staff in Salina, Utah.\n\nFuneral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 11:00 am at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S 300 E, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Sunday, March 27 at the mortuary from 5:00 - 6:30 pm and again Monday morning from 10 - 10:45 am prior to the funeral.
