Carlee Mcall Sobczak passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017, due to a drug overdose at the age of 25. We want to share Carlee's story in hopes that it will bring awareness to this devastating disease.\n\nEven though she struggled with a darkness few will ever understand, Carlee never let that hold her back. Carlee was kind, compassionate, and above all generous to all she met. She had a smile that would light up a room and hugs that were pure magic. Carlee was the first to help and the last to leave. She was a fierce and loyal mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved, lived, and fought for sobriety with a determination and fire that inspired many.\n\nCarlee recently graduated from her treatment program and was thriving in her sober-living home. Our family is so proud of the progress she made and grieve the lapse in her resolve that led to her too-soon departure. She will be missed, but we are comforted that we still have a part of her with us in her two, beautiful boys.\n\nCarlee is survived by her boys Cooper and Ashton Sobczak; her husband, Nate Sobczak; her sisters, Courtney Christensen and Tyree Ewell; her brothers Jace and Skylar Carter; and her parents, Tyson and Savannah Rich and Ben Carter.\n\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the LDS Ward Chapel located at 905 N 500 W, Pleasant Grove, Utah with a viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.\n\nIn lieu of sending flowers or purchasing food, the family asks that you honor Carlee's memory by donating to Addict to Athlete to help fight this awful disease. Donations can be made at http://addicttoathlete.org/donate/.
