Carol Lyn (Brown) Hansen Obituary (1947

Carol Lyn Brown Hansen, 74, of Pleasant Grove passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Carol Lyn was born May 5, 1947 in Lehi, Utah to Robert and Ellen Beveridge Brown. She married Richard Hansen on July 28, 1965 in (Manila) Pleasant Grove. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Carol Lyn grew up in Manila and attended Pleasant Grove High School, graduating with the class of 1965. Carol Lyn worked many years for Alpine School District in the school lunch program at both Pleasant Grove High School and later at Shelley Elementary School in American Fork. She loved camping, reading and toll painting and enjoyed working in her yard. Carol Lyn loved donating her time to make hats and scarves to hand out to the less fortunate during the holiday season. She cherished spending time with family, planning family reunions and parties. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol Lyn served faithfully in many callings and discovered a passion for family history but especially enjoyed serving in the Young Women's Organization. She is survived by her husband Richard of Pleasant Grove; two daughters: MaryAnn (Blaine) Pendley and Rebecca Collier; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; two brothers: Ken (Lynn) Brown and Steven Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Roberta Hansen; brother, Paul Brown and two grandchildren. Family and friends may attend a viewing Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
