Carol (Green) Laycock

Carol Green Laycock 94, returned peacefully home December 14, 2020 to a loving Heavenly Father. She will be deeply missed.

Carol was born December 6, 1926, in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Arnold Ray Green and Rhea Dunn Green. She was the third of 5 children and is rejoicing in Heaven with all of her siblings Zina (Kenneth) Erchanbrach, Ruth (Lester) Taylor, Arnold (Marilyn) Green, Elwood (Dolores) Green. Working daily on the family farm with her sisters and brothers instilled a love of hard work and service.

She married Earl Kenneth Laycock on December 6, 1946, in Elko Nevada. She had 5 amazing children who she devoted her life to. Carol loved life and made friends easily. She loved serving others and welcomed many church callings. Faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ was a driving force in her life. You could feel the Spirit so strongly when speaking with her about the Savior and His love.

Her love of helping people brought her to work at American Fork Hospital Laboratory, where she devoted 21 years of service to the Hospital. Her kindness, sweet smile and contagious laughter will be remembered by the many lives she touched.

In her later years she was a wonderful Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Spending time with Carol would brighten your day. She loved gathering to talk, eat and play games. People young and old considered her family from the moment they met her.

Carol is preceded in death by her loving spouse Earl: daughters Marjorie and Ann and her son Earl Laycock Jr. What a joyous reunion in heaven it must be for her to be with loved ones. She is survived by her children Kathy Miller, Tamera & John Lundin, Paul Kaneko, Mary Jane Laycock; 10 Grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Her family wishes to give a special thanks to the Seville Retirement Home in Orem, Welcome Home Assisted Living in Pleasant Grove and A Plus Home & Hospice for all the many friendships and the care given to our mom.

Family and friends may attend a viewing for Carol on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 11:30am-12:45 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
