Cheree Phillips

Cheree Bryant Phillips completed her life's journey on October 4, 2023 at the age of 83. She was born March 21, 1940 in Ouray, Utah to Floyd and Erma Bryant and was the youngest of eight children. Cheree attended schools in Uintah County and graduated from Lehi High School in 1958.

She met Phil at the summer festival carnival in Lehi, Utah. They were married on September 25, 1958. They just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Together they enjoyed one of their favorite fishing holes Red Creek, camping, and spending time with family.

Cheree was very independent and spent her life raising her children and helping Pops with the family business. She enjoyed her many years working at Phillips Mfg, Hard Rock Cafe, Alpine School District as a bus aide, and spent several years as a temple worker at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. She was loved by her coworkers and built many lasting friendships.

She was a strong-willed, yet gentle person. She cared deeply for those around her, including all of her extended family, neighbors and friends. She was a wonderful cook, baker, gardener, and a talented seamstress. She loved making memories with her children and grandchildren whom she cared for with great love.

Cheree leaves behind a wonderful family legacy, who all love her dearly and appreciate and admire all that she has done for them throughout her life. Her posterity includes 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and the many others who called her "Grandma". She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 Sisters, and 2 grandchildren. Cheree will be truly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by the love of her life Phil, son Phil (DeAnn) Phillips, daughter Gaylyn (Mark) Dalley, son Kirk (Linda) Phillips, daughter Kathy (Joe) Miller, son Eric (Stacie) Phillips, the last of her siblings Elva Christofferson, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to sincerely thank all who helped her in her last months on this earth including all her dear friends and neighbors, and the nursing staff at Timpanogos Regional Hospital and American Fork Hospital who were so diligent in keeping her comfortable for her remaining days.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00 - 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
