Clyde Reay, 73, of Pleasant Grove passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his home after suffering a heart attack. Clyde was born November 26, 1940 in Meadow, Utah to Delmar and Nelda Stratton Reay. He married Mary Margaret McCrea on May 29, 1965 in Syracuse, New York. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.\n\nClyde grew up in Meadow and graduated from Millard High in 1959. He served in the U S Air Force from 1960-68 and returned to receive his education at BYU. Clyde was a truck driver for 40 years and drove in all 48 states. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, golfing and being in his garden. Clyde was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Elders Quorum President; High Priest Group Leader; and completed a service mission at the Bishops Storehouse. His greatest joy in life was his children, grandchildren and dog Sophie.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Mary of Pleasant Grove; five children: Mary Oliver, Delmar Reay, Michael Reay, Carrie (Cletis) Holden and Valerie (Chester) Perry; 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter; four siblings: William (Carolyn) Reay, Tom (Elaine) Reay, NaDeane (Boyce) Hansen and Rebecca (Darrell) Burton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Betty Adamson and Christine Reay.\n\nFuneral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Garden Stake Center, 1028 West 1000 North, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to services.
