Connie Rae Wood, 90, of Lindon, Utah, passed away on October 15, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1936, to Margaret Freeda and Ray Rulon Fautin and spent her entire life in Lindon. She grew up on her family’s farm, attended Lindon Elementary School, and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School.
Connie met Doyle S. Wood while working in a real estate office in Orem. They married on December 4, 1959, at her parents’ farm and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 7, 1964.
Together, Connie and Doyle raised three children: Lisa, Mark and Lori. Family was the center of Connie’s life, and she devoted herself to creating a loving home and preserving the traditions and values she held dear. She lovingly cared for Doyle until his passing in November 2008 and continued to be a devoted mother and grandmother.
Connie will be remembered for her deep faith in Heavenly Father, unwavering devotion to her family, and lifelong love for Lindon and the land where she was raised. Her family finds comfort in the promise of eternal families and the joyful reunion with her beloved Doyle.
Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will live on through her children, grandchildren, and future generations. Connie is reunited in eternity with her sweetheart Doyle, her parents, her siblings, as well as many other family members. Her spirit lives on through her children, Lisa (Scott) Mitchell, Mark (Angie) Wood, Lori (Heath) Peters as well as her beloved eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Bishop Luekenga, Bob Parker and the Lindon 19th Ward, Dr. Cheryl Johnson of Premier Family Medical, and the Suncrest Hospice team: hospice nurse Christine, personal aides Aubrey and Kimberly, chaplain Kevin, and MSS professional DeAnn. We are deeply grateful for the tender, loving care you provided to our mother, Connie.
