Cortland Paul Johnson Obituary (1986 - 2021)

WATCH LIVE MEMORIAL STREAM HERE (11:30 AM MST) Cortland Paul Johnson sadly passed away on November 27, 2021 in Newport Beach, California. He was born in San Jose, California on March 12, 1986 and was the oldest son of Paul and Susan Johnson. An eagle scout in his younger years, he continued to strive to be of service to others and found healing to his soul as he served. Cortland found great peace at the ocean riding the waves with his surfboard and also in the mountains, whether hiking Yosemite's Half Dome or in the Wasatch Front. He was a musician and a prolific singer-songwriter and loved to perform for a live audience, often sharing his feelings or quipping with them during his sets. Cortland will be remembered for his quick wit, huge heart, his ability to forgive and his kind acts of service in the communities where he resided. He was preceded in death by his brother Drew Spencer Johnson. He will be profoundly missed by his parents, Paul and Susan Johnson, his brother Austin Johnson and his sister Laura-May Bourdeau (Jefferson). Memorial services will be held on December 18, 2021 at 11:30 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Manila Ninth Ward Chapel, 3396 N 900 W, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
