Craig Carl Baldwin, 38, of Pleasant Grove, UT passed away on July 22, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family after a long, hard fought battle with colon cancer. Craig was born February 25, 1985, to Carl and Janine Baldwin. He was the sixth child of seven siblings. His brothers and sisters loved and adored him. Craig grew up in Pleasant Grove, UT surrounded by family and friends. He attended Pleasant Grove High School where he played sports and met some of his life-long friends. He was called to serve a mission to Indianapolis, Indiana for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2004-2006) and remained a faithful disciple of our Savior, Jesus Christ. After returning from his mission, he attended Utah Valley State College (UVSC) where he studied business. Craig and former spouse, Roxy Scarborough, have a son, Kai Enzo Baldwin (12) who they both adore. They built a beautiful life in Texas. Being a father to Kai was Craig’s greatest joy and his whole world. As a natural athlete, he found fulfillment and happiness in coaching Kai in various sports including soccer, basketball, and baseball. Kai loved going to amusement and water parks with his Dad. Kai loved his Dad’s cooking and felt he made the best quesadillas and eggs. In Texas, Craig continued his education and received a certificate in Instrumentation. He then worked at Vallen and Hagemeyer North America as an Instrument Technician. Craig loved the outdoors. He would often be found mountain biking, hiking, playing basketball, golfing, playing pickleball with his family, and attending sporting events of his nieces and nephews. He was their biggest fan. Craig influenced everyone around him with his kindness, quiet strength, humble spirit and Christlike love. He was often the first person willing to help anyone in need. He was a giver. He was known for his positive attitude and never complained, even while battling cancer. He found ways to enjoy life through whatever trials came his way. Craig will be remembered by his smile and infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his son, Kai Enzo Baldwin, his parents, Carl and Janine Baldwin, his siblings: Todd (Rachel) Baldwin, Chad (Rachael) Baldwin, Brei (Matt) Heelis, Christie (Ben) Moak, Kara (Cassidy) Gates, Kami (McKay) Sanderson and as well as many nieces and nephews who loved and admired their uncle Craig. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Blaine and Dorothy Baldwin, Paul and Melba Christie who greeted Craig with loving arms. He was the greatest example to so many on how to live life to its fullest and see the good in all things. Craig you are our hero -143! Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Battle Creek First Ward Chapel, 1250 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00 – 10:45 am prior to the services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
