Our hearts are heavy with this loss, but we rejoice in the knowledge of eternal families and have faith in God’s plan.\n\nDarrel was born June 12, 1938 in Ogden Utah but his true adventure began on May 16, 1958 when he married the love of his life, Donna Victor, in the Salt Lake Temple. From that moment his life was devoted to his family, he was a true patriarch to his wife, his 7 children, 33 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. He led his family by example, teaching them hard work, dedication and love for others. This was his biggest passion in life, he loved his wife, children and grandchildren and he was so proud of all of them. He quietly provided anything and everything for them. He also loved his extended family which included neighbors and ward members. He was always there to offer help, advice, or just be there for support.\n\nHe was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and dedicated his life to the service of our Lord. He held positions from Primary/Sunday school teacher, financial/ward clerk, Hich Council, Bishop and served in the Stake Presidency. He and his wife Donna also served as part-time service missionaries for the LDS family services substance abuse and pornography addiction along with many years working in the Temple.\n\nHe joined the Army Reserve shortly after high school and graduated from boot camp with honors. He continued to serve in the reserve until he was honorably discharged in November 1967. He loved this country and was a true patriot, which was evident in his attire and decorations to celebrate the 4th of July.\n\nDarrel could always find things to do outside and spent hours in his yard perfecting everything. He also enjoyed biking, fishing and of course anything BYU.\n\nDarrel is survived by his wife, Donna, sister Kay Mottishaw and six children, Brent (Nedra) Bingham, Thane Bingham, Troy (Brenda) Bingham, Melanie (Parley) Hill, Kelly (Brandi) Bingham, Heidi (Dean) Riedel.
