David Willard Felton, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home.\n\nDavid was born January 3, 1940 in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Jefferson High School in 1957, he served 4 years the Air Force as an instructor. He then served a 2-year mission in the LDS Texas Mission. He married Christine Klemm in 1966 and later divorced. He graduated from BYU with a BS in Accounting in 1969. He worked as an accountant and comptroller for companies in Texas, California, and Utah before moving to Houston in 1992. He and his husband Roy Bantigue were actively involved in the LGBTQ community and enjoyed bowling and hosting holiday parties in their home.\n\nDavid is survived by his brothers David (Nina) and Jerry (Sandy) Harmer and Sister Linda (Gayle) Rosenberg, his children David Felton, Debbie Robinson, Jennifer (David) Coleman, and Stephanie Felton, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his husband Roy in April of this year, his adoptive parents Louis and Lucille Harmer, and brother Robert.\n\nA celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd, Kingwood, TX 77339. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery in Utah at 11:00 am.
