DeVonna Moosman Hansen, 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her home in Pleasant Grove, Utah after a short battle with Lymphoma. DeVonna was born on the 9th of September, 1933 in Logan, Utah to her wonderful parents, Welborn Moosman and Elsie May Rogers Moosman.\n\nDeVonna worked at the following companies in her lifetime: O. C. Tanners Jewelry; she was Custodian and Pre-school teacher for Pleasant Grove City; Humanitarian Services of the LDS Church in Provo, Utah and in Salt Lake City, Utah; Baird's Dry Cleaners in Orem, Utah; and she was a seamstress at Little Things Mean A Lot in American Fork, Utah, where she retired at the age of 73.\n\nShe enjoyed serving in many different positions within the LDS church, including roles in Boy Scouts, Young Women's and as Relief Society President. She served an LDS mission in the West Spanish American Mission in East Los Angeles and, later in life, as a service missionary in the Family and Church History Mission in Orem, Utah.\n\nHer passions were caring for and loving her family and friends, gardening, quilting, sewing and many types of handiwork. She was very skilled in needle arts, especially quilting and the rare skill of tatting. She enjoyed making many beautiful gifts for family and friends using her talents. Her favorite sport was bowling. She loved serving and doing everything she could for those in need.\n\nPreceding her in death were her parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother and 2 sons. Surviving her are her 2 daughters, Kayline Hansen and Angela Hansen Anderton, both of Pleasant Grove, Utah; 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, all of Pleasant Grove, Utah; a foster daughter, Marlene Peterson, 3 foster grandchildren and 2 foster great grandchildren; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.\n\nFuneral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,1176 North 730 East, Pleasant Grove with a viewing prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, Utah.\n\nCondolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
