Diane Brereton

(Ruth) Diane Warnick Brereton, passed away in her home at age 85 on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Diane was born November 8,1940, in Pleasant Grove to Howard Gardner Warnick and Ruby Rowena Radmall Warnick.

She loved her family, especially the little children. She worked at the Bungalow for many years as well as Smith’s Market in downtown Pleasant Grove and did antique resale. She loved history and antiques. She had a talent for restoring furniture and various other vintage pieces and made them beautiful. She served on the Pleasant Grove Historical Committee for a period of time.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she had fond memories of serving in the Young Women’s Program and the activities associated with that including the assignment of creating several award winning ward floats for Strawberry Days.

She is survived by many family members including her Husband Sterling J. Brereton, her sister Janet(Kent) Anderson, Son Jeff(Kim) Brereton, Son Greg Brereton. 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents Howard and Ruby Warnick, Sister Carol(Glen) Miller, Son Rhett Brereton.

Funeral Services will be held on May 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Timpanogos Stake Center 2nd Ward; 800 North 100 West Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Friends and Family may attend a viewing from 9:00 - 10:45 AM prior to the funeral.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
