Dorothy Ann Musick Clingo (81), of Cedar Hills, Utah, was born November 13, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA, to John Joseph Musick and Ruby Elizabeth Lelia Musick. She quickly and quietly passed away due to a sudden illness on the morning of Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Timpanogos Hospital in Orem, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was raised in Alhambra, CA, with her parents and six siblings: Lowell Alvin Musick (CA), Joyce Ione Musick Steig (CA), Linda Ruby Musick O'Neil (UT), Roy Joseph Musick (FL), Glenn Ray Musick (UT), Nelda Beth Musick Fox (UT).\n\nDorothy married her life-long sweetheart and eternal companion, Lynn Edward Clingo, on November 25, 1952, in the St. George Utah Temple, "the most wonderful, handsomest, bravest, strongest, and sweetest man in the whole world" (quoted from her first love-letter to him). Together, they enjoyed 63 happy years of marriage.\n\nShe had a great love of learning through reading and was a go-to person in the family for advice or information. She loved vacationing to many lakes and beaches, especially the annual summer-fun trips to Flaming Gorge with her children and grandchildren. One of her great pleasures was going with her husband to the recreation center to swim. She has been active in her church by filling many callings in Primary, Relief Society, Young Women, and using her talents with music and piano opportunities. With Lynn by her side and "unending and often taken-for-granted sacrifice and love", Dorothy patiently raised her family of six children; Lynn Alma (Cindy), David John (Cathy), Daniel Lee (Karie), Paul Joseph (Renee), Kyle Edward (Jennifer), and Lorrel Alise Clingo Nilsen (Craig), who is deceased. She is also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived and dearly loved and missed by her husband, Lynn (95), her children, 33 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, all of her brothers and sisters and other family members and friends. Thank you Mom for teaching us that God lives and loves us!\n\nA celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3785 W. Box Elder Dr., Cedar Hills, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 3, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church, and again on Thursday from 10:00-10:45 am, prior to services.
