Dorthella Loween Erickson LeBaron, 84, of Spanish Fork passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Dorthella was born January 15, 1933 in Spanish Fork to Matthew Thorgar and Mary Cilicia Hill Erickson. She married William Theron LeBaron on January 27, 1956 in Spanish Fork. Bill passed away in March 26, 2010.\n\nDorthella grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She was the Captain of the womens basketball and softball teams. In her adult life, Dorthella was an award winning bowler and archer. Dorthella worked many years as a Lunch Lady and later as a Teachers' Assistant at Dan Peterson School in American Fork. She enjoyed sewing and her children remembered how accomplished their mother was as a seamstress. Among her many projects, Grandma Dorthella made each of her grandchildren blessing dresses and tuxedos. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that would fill the room. Many people remember Dorthella as selfless, gentle and kind, but her greatest joy and accomplishment came from being a mother.\n\nShe is survived by her four children: Penny Clements, Payson; Brad (Julie) LeBaron, Provo; Cindy (Calvin) Knotts, Santaquin and Tammy (Kerry) Beus, Spring City; 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; two sisters: Nancy Tanner, Ogden and Julie Schweiss, Spanish Fork. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael William LeBaron.\n\nFuneral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Battlecreek Seventh Ward Chapel, 1106 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30-10:45 am prior to services.
