Eberle Anne (Mulkay) Smith Obituary (1926 - 2022)

Eberle Anne Mulkay Smith, 95, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home. Eberle was born September 18, 1926 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Leslie and Annie Jones Mulkay. She married Lyman W Smith June 21, 1952 in Pacific Grove, California. Lyman passed away in 2020. Eberle grew up in Pacific Grove, California after her parents moved there when she was an infant. She attended schools in Monterey and Pacific Grove. She met Lyman while he was stationed at Fort Ord in California. She waited three years for Lyman to return from military service in Germany before they were married. They made their home in Utah where they raised their family. Eberle was a devoted volunteer through many organizations in Pleasant Grove which included: Pleasant Grove Volunteer Fire Ladies Auxiliary, PTA at Central Elementary and many other civic organizations. She is survived by three children: Carolyn Whiteman, Howard L Smith and Ted A (Kim) Smith; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings. Private family funeral services will be held for the family at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
