On Sunday January 4, 2015 Frank Mondell Hebbert, 94, of Pleasant Grove, Utah returned peacefully to his Heavenly Home.\n\nFrank was born in Polk County, Missouri on October 12, 1920 to Charles Raymond and Jessie May Winters Hebbert. He grew up on a farm in Bolivar Missouri where he learned to be self-sufficient. He was self-taught in auto mechanics and many other trades as well as music, both singing and playing various musical instruments.\n\nHe became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, obtained an FCC First Class radio license and attended college in Bolivar, Missouri before serving in the Army in WWII, in Great Britain and France. Upon returning home he moved to Utah to continue his education at BYU, graduating in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree with teaching certification. It was during his last semester that he met Naomi Pearl Estey and after graduation married her on June 23, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.\n\nHe taught school for 24 years, mostly in the Salt Lake Valley, before leaving teaching and moving to Pleasant Grove in 1973 so he could have a little more "elbow room". He worked for Alpine School District in the carpenter shop until he retired in 1985.\n\nHe was a devoted member of the LDS church and served faithfully in many callings. Frank enjoyed reading his extensive library which included everything from classics to westerns. He enjoyed being outdoors, rock hunting, deer hunting or just driving on dirt roads to see where they ended up. He loved music, especially when the family got together for a good old fashioned "hoe down".\n\nHe is survived by his Sweetheart, Naomi; his seven children, Diana (Wes) Johnson, Juanita (Craig) Russell, Mondell (Kathy) Hebbert, Scott (Mary Ann) Hebbert, Lorna (Howdy) Hancock, Paul (Sharlene) Hebbert, and Alan (Sharon) Hebbert; 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; and one brother, Paul D.
