Gary Colton Thompson, 23, of Vernal, long-time American Fork resident, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. Colton was born June 15, 1990 in Provo, Utah to Carla Ann Andersen Thompson and Gary Mads Thompson.\n\nColton was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and cousin. He grew up in Orem and attended schools there. He was currently employed with Kimzey Casing in Vernal, Utah and worked as a Tong Operator. Colton loved Xbox, was a tease to everyone, and was a comedian - always making everyone laugh. He loved his family and was so proud of his two children. He will always be his mama's big brown eyes.\n\nHe is survived by his two children: Sophia Ann and Zoey Storm; his sweetheart, Kera Sparks, Vernal; mother: Carla Ann Andersen, Vernal; father, Gary Mads (Jessica) Thompson, American Fork; siblings: Kimberly Ann (Brandon) Caldwell, American Fork; Glendon Cody (Shandy) Thompson, Pleasant Grove; Kristin Lynn Jordison, Vernal; Marysa Dale (Kole) Gardner, Vernal; Jayden Alyn Thompson, Vernal; Alexis Joye Thompson, American Fork; Wade Garett Thompson, American Fork and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.\n\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10-11:45 am.
