Glenda Joyce Bame Mitchell, 79, of Pleasant Grove passed away March 6, 2023 at her home of natural causes. Glenda was born September 9, 1943 in Provo, Utah to Cecil and Ruth Holden Bame. She married Vone J. Mitchell January 17, 1964 and together had three daughters. \n\nGlenda grew up in Provo and graduated from Provo High School in 1961. After their marriage, Glenda and Vone moved to Pleasant Grove where they raised their family.\n\nGlenda enjoyed crocheting, sewing, yard work, camping, playing bingo and traveling. She loved nothing more than bowling in leagues and enjoyed life-long friendships through this hobby. She was also a very avid Utah Jazz Fan. \n\nShe is survived by her three daughters: Barbara (John Ostler) Barney; Brenda (Steve) Johnson and Bonnie (Lloyd) Castillo; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; siblings: Pauline Persson, Orem; Betty (Don) Thomas, Littlefield, AZ; Marie Underwood, Sherman, TX; Cecile Curtis, Springville; Lorraine Ryan-Bell, Tehachapi, CA; and Mae Barker. She was proceeded in death by Vone J Mitchell (husband), Howard Bame (brother), Marlin Bame (brother), Carol Olsen (sister), Karen Bame (sister), and Brett Barney (son-in-law).\n\nA viewing for Glenda will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 10:00-11:30 am at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
