Gweneth Harmon Taylor, 82, of Pleasant Grove passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 in St. George. She was born February 1, 1932 in Moroni, Utah to Samuel Joseph and Jenavie Boren Harmon. She married Jack W Taylor on June 3, 1950 in Wallsburg. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.\n\nGweneth graduated from Wasatch High School in 1950. After her children were raised, Gweneth worked in Food Services for Alpine School District for several years. She enjoyed the children and her associations with her co-workers. Her interests included fishing, quilting, handwork, and reading. She was a devoted member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings. Gweneth's life was one of service and always put her family and others needs before her own.\n\nShe is survived by her husband Jack of Pleasant Grove; six children: Jenavie (Chris) Brandt, Divide, CO; Barbara (Scott) Webb, Magna; Elaine (Gary Severtson) Damato, Palmer, AK; Dixie (Verlyn) Ashton, Chubbuck, ID; Meda (Ric) Clark, Draper; Wayne Joe (Amy) Taylor, Fairfield; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sister: Beth (Al) Pollock, Bullhead City, AZ and brother, Jack Harmon, Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her son, Sam and his wife, Laura Taylor; grandson, Ryan Brandt and son-in-law, James Damato.\n\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Pleasant Grove Ninth Ward Chapel, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Wallsburg Cemetery.
