Helen Eileen Holbert 90 formerly of Columbus Ohio died January 9, 2014 in Utah. She was born October 9, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to the late Park and Frances (Fritch) Bricker. Helen worked 8 years with Ohio Bell and 24 years as a 4th grade Teacher 15 years at Stiles Elementary School teaching a combined 3rd-4th grade for 2 years. She received her Master's Degree at Kent State University and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority. Helen was a member of St John Luthern Church for 43 years and the Swinger's Golf Group at Raymond Golf Course. Preceded in death by her parents, father of her son William Holbert, sisters, E Jean Kump and Betty Bricker; brother, Alan Bricker. Survived by her son Roger (Marilyn)Holbert, grandchildren, Erica Walker, Holli (Emery) Sharp and Nathan (Callie) Holbert; 4 great grandchildren, Jace, Mercedes, Marshall and Elle; many nieces and nephews. Helen lived and loved life. She will be greatly missed by all of us whose lives she touched.\n\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East. Pleasant Grove with a viewing prior to the service at 1:15 p.m. Additional funeral services will be held the follow week in Columbus, Ohio where she will be laid to rest.
