Jake Rhett De Roest, 29, of Pleasant Grove passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Jake was born September 25, 1984 in American Fork to Marcel and Edna Pack De Roest.\n\nJake grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended school there. He loved Lake Powell and four-wheeling with family and friends. He worked alongside his dad at Rocky Mountain Welding for several years. Jake had a great love for his nieces and nephews and enjoyed playing and spending time with them. Jake had a soft heart, was thoughtful, giving, and loved animals.\n\nJake is survived by his parents of Cedar Hills; four siblings: Joseph (Lisa) De Roest, Lehi; Jason De Roest, Orange, CA; Amy (Chance) Morby, Pleasant Grove and Jenica (Tyler) Humpherys, Orem and six nieces and nephews and grandmother, Marie De Roest, Orem.\n\nPreceded in death by his grandparents; Eldon & Eulala Pack and Joseph Marcel De Roest Sr.\n\nGraveside services will be held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Monday prior to Graveside Services from 10-11:30 am at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
