Janet (Ellis) Albertson Obituary (1941 - 2021)

MST) Janet Ellis Albertson, 79, of Pleasant Grove, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and disciple of Jesus Christ passed away peacefully on the evening of February 21, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born March 18, 1941 the youngest of two children born to Thomas Harry Ellis Jr. and Suzy Florence Olson. Janet grew up in Price, Utah with her brother and best friend Gene Ellis. She was involved in many activities, including cheerleading, prom royalty, where she made many long-lasting friendships. After graduation she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to pursue a career in Cosmetology. This is where she met the love of her life Lee Albertson. They sealed their timeless romance in the Salt Lake Temple January 8, 1960. They had 5 children William Paul, Charlene, Charles Earl, Janalee and Amber Ann, and their Sweet Navajo daughter LeVern. They enjoyed 60 years together where they never allowed a opportunity to pass without expressing their love for each other, for God, and for the family. A vital part of Janet's life has been her unshakable faith and testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ. She touched the lives of many and was a great example of Christlike love and service. She spent her life in service for her family, friends, the children she taught for many years, the temple, and her many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She found great joy serving a 2-year mission with her dear husband. Where she served the people of San Angelo, Texas with grace and kindness. Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband Lee Albertson, her youngest daughter Amber Latu, her grandson C. LeRoy, her great grandson Noah Eugene Woodward, son-in law Ricardo Flores, brother Gene Ellis, sister-in-law Marlene Ellis, sister-in law Patricia Desmarais, brothers-in-law Bob Brakey and Dennis Desmarais. She is survived by her children Paul Albertson, Charlene (Robert) Gunderson, Charles (Tawnya) Albertson, and Janalee Flores. 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Ninth Ward, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, masks and social distancing are required.
