Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jeannie T Walker, age 82 died peacefully in her home on March 14, 2014.\n\nJeanne was born December 28, 1931 in Alpine, Utah to Ellis and Janie Hutchinson Terry. She graduated from American Fork High School in 1950. Married her high school sweetheart, Howard L. Walker on September 13, 1950. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in June of 1952. Mom and dad recently celebrated 63 years of marriage.\n\nJeanne was an active member of the LDS church. She was the ward organist for many years and had a passion for singing. She performed in a 148 funerals with her longtime friend Joanne Brady.\n\nShe served as a "Pink Lady" at the American Fork Hospital for 20 years.\n\nJeannie and her husband were active members in the Tri City mens and ladies golf club. They attended hundreds upon hundreds of baseball games together supporting their children and grandchildren. She was known as "Grandma Jean" by literally hundreds of ball players she came in close contact with. Jeanne kept a score book of every game she attended. Her "Loud" cheers are a trademark, remembered by all!\n\nJeanne is survived by her husband, Howard, her sons Terry (Mary) Walker, Peoria, Arizona; Tom (Lyn) Walker, Port Townsend, Washington, Kim (Lisa) Walker, Pleasant Grove; 7 grandchildren; 8 great children and sister Phyllis Delong, California.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Arnold, Ladell and La Grande Terry.\n\nFuneral services will be held on Friday, March 21 at 11:00 am in the Lindon 23rd Ward Chapel, 250 West 600 South, Lindon, (1600 North 1050 West, Orem). Viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services.\n\nBurial will be held at the Alpine Cemetery following the proceedings.
