Jennie Lucille (Watters) Carlson Obituary (1935

Jennie Lucille Carlson, 85, of Pleasant Grove passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. She was born April 6, 1935 in Goshen, Utah to Neldon Leon Watters and Wynonna Annie Dodds. She met, married and was sealed to the love of her life Ted Maynard Carlson in the Salt Lake City Temple. They lived in Pleasant Grove and raised five children teaching them the value of hard work and dedication. While her children were young, she worked at ZCMI as well as at the church's cannery. She still found time to be heavily involved with Cub Scouts, leading her four boys to earn their Eagle Scout badges. Later in life Jennie loved to garden (rose garden) and craft birthday cards for her children, many grandchildren and every one she loved. Mom and dad would also do wood crafting together and give many away. Her favorite saying to all she loved was, I love you to the moon and back or you are loved this much as her arms would stretch out as far as she could. She is survived by her four children: Danny (Annette), Neldon (Sandra), David (Louise), Vickie, and daughter-in-law Sue. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, son Terry, son-in-law Michael and her brother LaVar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the North Field LDS Chapel, 408 West 1300 North, Pleasant Grove, Utah where family and friends may attend a viewing from 12 Noon - 12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
