Jessie Chipman Penrod passed away on July 12, 2015. She was born July 8, 1926 in Lethbridge, AlbertaCanada to Lillian Wilde and Alfred Leslie Chipman the eldest of 10 children.\n\nJessie loved life, she was raised on work and being the oldest child on a farm she became her Dad's right hand man so to speak, and she loved every minute of it.\n\nShe had a winning personality and made friends quickly and they were friends for life.\n\nShe met the love of her life, Bob Penrod, in the fall of 1946 after writing letters to one another for almost three years. After crossing many bridges together and many more letters, they were at last married in the Cardston Alberta Temple June 8, 1949. They shared 67 wonderful years together, 66 of those years in their home in Monkey town Pleasant Grove.\n\nShe was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. How she loved music it was a main stay of her life. She was valiant in her testimony of Jesus Christ and wanted nothing more than to have her family with her in eternity.\n\nShe is survived by her husband Harold R (Bob) Penrod and six children; Blake R (Joan) Penrod, Bonita (Jack) Hunsaker, Blair H (Debbie) Penrod, Melissa (Billy) Powell, Melvin J Penrod, Ross T (Tangi) Penrod, along with 27 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.\n\nFuneral service will be held Friday,July 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Pleasant Grove 1st Ward Chapel, 310 East 500 North, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and on Friday from 11:00 - 12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
