John Goodman Spencer, beloved husband, father, grandfather died November 24, 2013. He was born August 13, 1921 in Sacramento, California to LaVerne and Nettie Spencer. John is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years, Ruby Marion (Hodges) Spencer. He is also survived by their five children; John/Michelle Spencer, Jean/Bob McClellan, Judy/Dawayne Snyder, Jerry/Katie Spencer and Jolene Allenbach. They have 26 beautiful grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. John served honorably in the Army Air Corp in WWII in the Aviation Engineers. He was an avid scouter serving many years as a scoutmaster and receiving his Silver Beaver Award. John served faithfully for many years in the LDS church, including two missions in Southern California, working in the Timpanogos Temple and in several leadership positions. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially by his family and close friends! Funeral services will be held December 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lindon Eighth Ward, 250 West, 600 South, Lindon, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
