Kathryn "Sue" Uustalu

Kathryn "Sue" Uustalu passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Sue was kind, funny, loving and sweet, She was always thinking of others, and she was never too tired or too busy to help someone, no matter what. She loved sewing, craft and holidays. She was the glue to our family.

She once brought a kitten to my kindergarten class with curlers in her hair for our last show and tell. I was the most popular kid in kindergarten that day. She sewed my clothes, braided my hair, and taught me long division. She worked hard to support us and keep a roof over our heads. She always kept her home clean and welcoming. Our birthday parties were always the most fun and the best amongst our friends.

As an Adult, she served as a supervisor for the employment development department for 35 years. She gave up her career to help raise her grandchildren when Jenny had a stroke at 34 years old.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jonith and Eula Helm, her brother Glen Helm, and her husband Andrew Uustalu.

Services are under the care and direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at olpinmortuary.com.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Pleasant Grove West Stake Center chapel; 56 South 1300 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing before the service at the church from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.
