Kerri Zupan

–

Pleasant Grove, Utah

Kerri Ann (Zufelt) Zupan passed away the morning of December 15, 2023 at UVRMC in Provo, Utah due to complications following an operation to remove blood clots in her body. The problems she faced post surgery were compounded by her pre-existing Muscular Dystrophy.

During her passing she was surround by family and friends; people that she both loved and cared for dearly. Kerri was a friend to anyone in need, she was also a mother, and a loved daughter. Kerri had a very warm and loving spirit even with her trials in life. She had an inviting smile and a voice to draw you closer to listen a little longer.

She loved her husband Nick for all the help and support he provided to her during mortal life. Kerri and Nick were the best of friends. Their first date was Halloween 2003, where they dressed in costumes to go out for dinner together. As they continued dating each other, there was never any awkward silence, and the relationship grew to where they didn't want to be apart. Kerri was married to Nick in the Salt Lake City LDS temple on June 17th, 2004. Her first and only child Allison Lynn was born March 31st, 2011. Allison only lived for 14 hours and was buried in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery. Kerri's body will be buried in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery in the same burial location as Allison.

Kerri is now with her Heavenly Father so that she can rest from her trials and tribulations. Kerri is survived by her eternal companion Nick John Zupan, father Jimmy Zufelt, brothers Colby, Wesley, and Jake (Amanda), sister Whitney, and her nieces and nephew. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother Preal.

Kerri was preceded in death by her mother Debra, paternal grandfather Lynn, and maternal grandparents Ann and Rex Birch. Kerri was also preceded in death by her and Nick's daughter Allison.
