Liam Rae Crookston

–

Pleasant Grove, Utah

Liam Rae Crookston came into this world on October 18, 2023 small, but with a Big Spirit. He was called back to Heaven November 17, 2023.

Liam was our little miracle, perfect in every way. He came for such a short time, 30 days, but was able to create new bonds and mend broken hearts. He came to be known as “Squeaks”; his little squeaky noises sounded like a dog toy. He was strong, lifting his head the day he was born. His deep brown eyes seem to look around in wonder and want to take everything in. He would look up at his momma and in that gaze you could see they had a special bond. It was a great joy for his Grandparents and Great Grandparents to meet him and yes, he was spoiled. He was up on new technology, even facetimed his Grandma and Grandpa when they were out of town.

Liam was never fussy, his only complaints came at changing time, he did not like it and he made it well known. In order to keep diaper changes to a minimum he would wait till the new diaper was in place and go again, we called it the two for one changing. Liam’s facial expressions were epic, we came to know them as the “Faces of Liam”, and you could sit for hours watching them. Liam was born with a heart condition that he was being treated for but none of the tests showed cause for concern, he passed peacefully in his sleep.

He knows deep love because of his momma and will always be by her side and in her heart, continuing to give her strength each day. We will keep in our hearts all the blessings he gave us here on earth. He will forever be our Guardian Angel, looking over the family that loves him so dearly.

He will be with his Great Grandpa Ned waiting in Heaven until he can be reunited with his mom Heather Kaye Crookston and many family members: Uncle & Aunt: Cameron & Sasha Crookston, Cousins Rocky and Matix, Grandparents Kathy & Colby Sweat and Russ Crookston, Great Grandparents: Liz Vincent and Leon & Linda Sweat, Great Aunts & Uncles: Rita Sorenson & Don Sorenson, LaPreal Vincent, Jo Lynn Sibert, Rick & Kenna Sweat. Great cousins: Chrystal Sorenson, Rylee Sibert, Sydney Harris, Tanner Sibert. Along with many, many more Family and the Friends that have come to be Family.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of U of U Hospital Superad Program- Nurse Shauna, Primary Children’s Hospital, Dr. Ben Hammon pediatric cardiologist that took such good care of Precious Liam.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.

You are welcome to join the family after the services at the home of Kathy and Colby Sweat.

Bubbles are magical. They make us smile. They make us giggle. They remind us of simple joys and simple times. Bubbles are brief. They are here for just a moment, sparking, bouncing, shimmering. Then, having completed their task, they are gone. Left behind is the memory of the joy and the experience. So, as we watch these bubbles dancing in the air, let us be thankful for Liam’s time on earth. It was not long enough for anyone here, but Liam completed his task, brought joy, light and energy into this world. Now his task is completed. While it makes us sad to not have him in our world, we can remember the sparkling life that bounced through our lives and left memories that will stay with us Forever.
