It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Louis Perez Navarro, Jr., a devoted patriarch of his family and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who passed away on March 19, 2026, in Lindon, UT. His spirit, strength, service, and love will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
Louis was born on April 14, 1948, in Standardville, UT, to Luis Navarro Moreno and Avelina Perez Vaca, and later grew up in Ocotlan, Jalisco, Mexico, surrounded by a large family. He is survived by his siblings George, Maria (dec.), Ramon (dec.), Guadalupe, Elena, Jose, Anita, Teresa, Jesus, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.
Louis honorably served his country during the Vietnam War, beginning in 1969. Following his military service, he dedicated 31 years as a civil servant with the Los Angeles Fire Department, where he took great pride in his work and retired as an Engineer.
On October 31, 1969, Louis married the love of his life, Terri Lynn Garavaglia. Together they built a beautiful life and raised six children in San Fernando Valley, California: Louis, Katrina, Anna-Maria, Nicole, Michael, and Adam. They shared 41 years of marriage before her passing in 2010. A few years later, Louis found love again and married Ingrid Martha Lara Lemus in 2015, with whom he made his home in Mexico City.
Louis’s legacy lives on through his 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way—each of whom he deeply loved and cherished.
Though our hearts feel the weight of his absence, we find comfort in knowing he has returned home, is free from pain, and is reunited with his beloved wife. His life was one of service, devotion, and quiet strength, and his memory will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
