Pleasant Grove, Utah
Lyndy (Gayle Lynn) Frampton Houston, beloved wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and faithful disciple of Jesus Christ passed away peacefully after sharing meaningful moments with her loved ones on February 9, 2026 in Provo, Utah at the age of 77.
Lyndy was born on May 16, 1948, in American Fork, Utah, to Walter Nyle Frampton and Nyhra Roundy. She grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah. As the sixth child of twelve children, she shared an unusually close bond with her siblings who were also her closest friends.
Lyndy married Danny Houston on February 9, 1967 and together they made their home in Pleasant Grove and American Fork, where they lovingly raised their three children, Van, Shaun and Jan. February 9th held deep and sacred significance for them both. It marked not only their wedding anniversary, but also the day they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on their 50th wedding anniversary, Feb 9, 2017. On this same cherished date, they were blessed to be together, holding hands and lovingly celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary in her final moments - sharing one last sacred chapter as husband and wife here on earth.
Lyndy spent her life devoted to her family, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and those she loved, always putting others before herself. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. She absolutely loved serving as a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple for many years. She cherished her time serving at the Family History Center, and serving as a missionary with her sweet husband Danny for three consecutive summers at Heber Valley Camp on the grounds committee will always be dear to her heart.
She shared a deep and loving partnership with her husband Danny. Together they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. Their bond was one of steady devotion, mutual respect, and unwavering support through life’s joys and challenges. He was her constant anchor, and their love was a source of strength and comfort to her always.
Above all, she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Her love was steady, selfless, and unconditional. She found joy in family gatherings and traditions, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, keeping things clean and organized, reading books about the gospel and second coming, serving in her church callings and learning about family history.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered until that glorious day when families are reunited again. We can only imagine that sacred reunion when she was able to hold her sweet angel great granddaughter in her arms and embrace her parents and siblings who passed before her. Her love continues in the hearts of her family, today and always.
Lyndy is preceded in death by her parents Nyle and Nyhra, her siblings John (June), Darrell (Beth), Nyla, (Clifford), (Edson), her In-law parents and siblings Tony and Mishie, Richard, Bud, and Lonny and her sweet little great granddaughter Oakley Sue.
