Martha "Glennita" Ralstin Bennett Pickering Obituary (1934 - 2015)

Martha "Glennita" Ralstin Bennett Pickering, 81, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home. Glennita was born April 11, 1934 in Jet, Oklahoma to Calvin Glenn and Gladys Emerine Smith Ralstin. She married Alfred S. Bennett Jr and together had four children. They were later divorced. She later married Gary Pickering on April 28, 1997. Glennita's family moved many times in her youth due to her father's employment. She settled in Provo during her teenage years and graduated from Provo High School in 1952. Glennita worked various jobs during her adult life and later went back to school to acquire her nursing degree. She was employed at UVRMC for many years until her retirement. She loved to hunt, fish, and spend time at Lake Powell with her family. She is survived by her husband Gary W. Pickering; four children: Mike (Penny) Bennett, Durango, CO; Scott (Cyndy) Bennett, American Fork; Shauna (Kim) Tomlinson, Lindon and Tami Bennett, South Jordan; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; brother, Mervin Ralstin, Santa Fe, TX and many loving nieces and nephews.
