Mary Jane Siddoway

Mary Jane Bishop Siddoway, 92, of Lehi passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024 at her sons’ home in Gilbert, Arizona. Mary Jane was born June 20, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Verl William and Elva Bezzant Bishop. She married Robert Holley Siddoway on December 24, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Mary Jane grew up in Salt Lake City with her brother, Joseph and sister, Margaret and graduated from Granite High School. She then attended Utah State University where she met Robert. They raised their family in Idaho, Utah, and Washington state.

Mary Jane worked in the family business (Bob’s Thriftway) and also at Eddie Bauer while living in the Seattle area. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She especially loved her time serving in the Seattle Temple.

Mary Jane was an avid reader, gardener, and loved working at the humanitarian center in American Fork, Utah. She had a quick wit and loved to laugh. She loved her family dearly and had many close friends. She also loved Pepsi.

She is survived by her four children: Holley (Alan) Cochran, St. George, UT; Patricia West, Salt Lake City, UT; Robert (Pauline) Siddoway, Gilbert, AZ and Kathleen (Brendan) Britton, South Jordan, UT; 15 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her infant son, William Bishop Siddoway; her siblings: Joseph Bishop and Margaret Randle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10:00-10:45 am prior to funeral services.
