Maxine Alma Kenney West, 85, of American Fork, long-time Pleasant Grove resident, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. Maxine was born September 14, 1928 in Manti, Utah to Alma Clifton and Leta Buchanan Kenney. She married Milton Loren West on October 8, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Milton passed away in 1986.\n\nMaxine grew up in Gunninson until the age of 13. The family moved to Salt Lake in 1941. Maxine and Milton made their home in Pleasant Grove where she raised their four children. After Milton passed away, Maxine was a successful Avon Representative for many years and enjoyed those relationships. She was devoted member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings and especially loved serving in the Primary. Maxine loved her family and friends and enjoyed having fun.\n\nShe is survived by her four children: Denise West, American Fork; Gerry (Jill) West, American Fork; Maurice (Shelly) West, Mt. Pleasant and Darrell (Rebecca) West, Rigby, ID; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia Park and Georgia (Randy) Elliot.\n\nFuneral services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the mortuary and on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
