Melanie Jocelyn Hillock, age 30, passed away May 5, 2015 in American Fork, Utah after a long courageous fight against cancer. Melanie was born on July 13, 1984 in Payson, Utah to Jeff & Kathy Hall Hillock.\n\nShe graduated from Mountain View High School in 2002.\n\nMelanie was a beautiful warrior and faced her battle against cancer with such remarkable courage and strength.\n\nShe loved going snowboarding, camping, watching or racing cars with her dad, and going to the NASCAR races. The last race she was able to attend was very special to her. She went with her dad, Collin and Jesse Anderson to the Kobalt 400 in March at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Collin said, "it was like she wasn't even sick while we were there." Melanie loved being "Mommy" to her two beautiful children, Collin and Bentlee. She was loved so much and will be greatly missed by her children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.\n\nMelanie is survived by her parents, Jeff & Kathy Hillock, son, Collin Jesse James Anderson, daughter, Bentlee Jocelyn Hillock, Grandfather, Dan Hall and Grandfather, Joseph Hillock. She was preceded in death by her brother, Justin Hillock, Grandmother, Delores Hall and Grammy, Mary Hillock.\n\nFuneral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manila 8th Ward Chapel located at 3785 West Box Elder Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services.
