Melba was always known as a "HARD WORKER" the entire 96 years she spent on earth. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it.\n\nMelba was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and sweet sister, aunt and friend. She was born July 9, 1918 to Parley P. and Diantha Sorenson Ackerman. Melba returned to our Father in Heaven on Saturday, August 30, 2014.\n\nShe married Ernest Nelson Turner August 5, 1935. They were sealed in the Manti Temple May 20, 1937 and they were blessed with 10 children, raising seven to adult hood.\n\nMelba is survived by her daughters Myrna (Doyle) Hess, Betty Lindstrom, Vonda Druce, Peggy Lewis, Nila (Val) Phelps, her son Gordon (Carole) Turner, her sister Gelene Davies, and 26 Grandchildren, 59 Great Grandchildren, and 33 Great Great grandchildren.\n\nFuneral services will be held September 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Mahogany 6th Ward Chapel, 1541 North 1300 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah.\n\nFamily and friends may call Sunday evening, September 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 495 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah and 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. September 8th prior to the services.
