Our big-hearted, loving husband and father, Michael Eugene "Sid" Sidwell, 42, of Lindon, Utah was violently killed on July 3, 2014 at his home. Our hearts are broken at the loss of this wonderful man.\n\nSid was born in Provo on November 19, 1971 to Eugene and Averil Sidwell. He grew up in Orem and Lindon, Utah. He loved Nascar and drag racing. He enjoyed remote-controlled rock crawlers, Frisbee, 4-wheeling, camping and spending time with his family. Sid worked with his hands, and achieved the level of Journeyman Plumber, working for Salisbury Plumbing prior to his death. He was good at what he did and loved his work. He was quality all the way, using his talents to work and to serve anyone who needed it. He had a big heart, helping everyone, and had open arms for all he met. He was a loving husband and an amazing father to his daughter, Aubree, and his adopted granddaughter, Nia.\n\nSid married the love of his life, Joy Ellis, on April 30, 2011. Joy knows how lucky she is to have been loved by such a special man. He treated her with respect, patience, kindness and love. They supported each other through thick and thin, and were truly each other's sunshine. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away."\n\nSid is survived by his wife, Joy, father Eugene Sidwell, daughter Aubree Carpenter, brother Mark Sidwell, sister Tammy Short, and sister Teresia Sidwell, and many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends he considered as family.
