Heaven gained a strong soul in Michael (Mike) Dell Terry, age 74, as he passed away on April 21, 2023 in Orem, Utah, surrounded by his wife and children.\n\nMike was born July 30, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to loving parents LaDell and Marge Terry. He graduated from American Fork High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University, and graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.\n\nMike served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ireland. Soon after his return to Utah, he married his "blue-eyed gal", Kathleen Robertson, on August 4, 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They moved to Arizona in 1975 where he practiced law. They moved their family to Lindon, Utah in 1995. Mike and Kathy traveled the world together and made friends wherever they went.\n\nMike was known for his sense of humor and his love for his family. He was an adoring husband, committed father, and enthusiastic grandpa ("Papa"). He also loved watching BYU sports, playing golf, and enjoying a good dessert.\n\nMike is survived by his wife, Kathy, and children Jeff Terry, Angie (Ben) Oldham, Brian (Nicole) Terry, Mindy (Andy) LeMieux, and Stephanie (Brent) Valdez. He is also survived by his eighteen grandchildren, his two brothers Craig (Candy) Terry and Paul (Ann) Terry, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.\n\nThe family would like to express great appreciation to supportive family, friends, and the excellent care team at the assisted living facility where he spent his final days.\n\nFuneral services will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Lindon Stake Center, 1050 East 100 North, Lindon where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10:00-10:45 am prior to services. Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to www.ServeRefugees.org as an expression of sympathy.
