Ned was born May 25, 1952 to Harold Max Jorgensen and Maurine Sarah Beck. He was the third of their five children: Elaine, Dan, Ned, Debbie and Kent. Ned is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Maurine, and his brother Dan. He is survived by the rest of his siblings and their families, his children Andrew Ned Jorgensen (Kristen), Melissa Eiche (Karl), and Nicholas B Jorgensen (Ashlee), and his grandchildren (which he would say were his pride and joy) Kasen, Kaleb (Red), Kennadie, Max, AJ, Sarah, Kyder, Dillon, Chance, Boley and Tatum. \n\nNed spent his youth either running through the fields of Pleasant Grove or the hills of Ophir. He grew up with a love of the outdoors - whether that meant fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, or soaking up the sun. All of it meant the most to him when he was surrounded by his loved ones. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High in 1970. Ned spent the majority of his life working hard - whether it was in the oil fields, the power plant in Delta, or many different construction jobs. He worked hard, but played harder. \n\nHe spent most of his adult life taking care of his mom and dad. He enjoyed every second he got to spend helping them, driving them around, gardening with them and just being in their presence. \n\nWe recognize that there were many in the community and many friends who took him under their wing with the passing of his parents. We are thankful for the people who lovingly sacrificed and looked after him. \n\nAn accident early in his life led to him living a difficult, painful life. But, he will be remembered as a loving dad, a caring grandpa, as having the best sense of humor of anyone around, a card shark, a fisherman and a friend. We love you "Lucky Ned Pepper", buckskin, honey, Grandpa, Dad....\n\nA visitation to celebrate Ned's life will be held from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, April 27 at Olpin Family Mortuary located at 494 South 300 East in Pleasant Grove. Condolences may be sent to the family at olpinmortuary.com.
