Niels Nielsen

Niels Christian Nielsen, 77, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born to Nello and Alice Nielsen on December 29, 1948, in American Fork, Utah, he was the youngest of four siblings. Niels enlisted in the Marine Corps on January 24, 1966, and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He later went on to become an exceptional master brick mason.

Niels was an avid hunter and fisherman who always found peace in the great outdoors. A simple man known for loving his family, his garden, and a good game of football, he was a calm and loving presence and a pillar that his family and friends could always lean on. Words cannot fully express how deeply he will be missed.

Niels is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Rose; daughter Raquel; son Isaac; stepchildren Pauline and Bryon; and grandson Daidan, along with many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved spending time with.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nello and Alice Nielsen; his siblings, Joann, Buck, and Parley; and his great-granddaughter, Opal Crafton.

A celebration of life will be held privately by Niels’ family.
