Rebecca Maughan Davies

Rebecca Maughan Davies passed away on October 26, 2026. She was 65 years old.

Rebecca was born December 27, 1960, in Los Angeles, California. She spent most of her childhood in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where she attended Pleasant Grove High School. She spent most of her adult life in Lehi, UT, where she raised her four children.

Rebecca served an LDS mission in the Philippines, where she worked in the Philippines Refugee Processing Center (P.R.P.C). She built lifelong friendships there that she maintained throughout her life. She loved the people she met and never forgot them.

She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and was a talented and passionate educator who loved working with young children. She worked at Ray O’ Sunshine Preschool, Head Start, and out of her home in Lehi, UT. Later in life, she transitioned to working with adults with disabilities, including her son, Hyrum. She held several church callings, many of them working with young children in Primary, and she had a tremendous positive impact on everyone she taught, including her own children.

Her legacy lives on in all the children and adults she taught throughout her life.
Rebecca loved music, knew how to throw a good party, and was a talented seamstress with an eye for fashion. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends.

She is survived by her three daughters, Autumn, Harmony, and Summer, her grandchildren, and her brother David Maughan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Shirley Maughan, her brother Paul Maughan, her sister Miel Maughan, and her son Hyrum Davies.

Services are under the care and direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at olpinmortuary.com.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Olpin Family Mortuary chapel; 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing before the service at the mortuary from 9:30 - 10:45 AM. The interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
