Regina Lee Farrer passed away peacefully at the age of 69, on July 27, 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona. Gina was born on October 27, 1956 to her parents James Clyde and Esther Marie Kougioulis in Butte, Montana.
She graduated from Butte High School in Butte, Montana in 1974. She was a member of the cheerleading team and stayed in contact with the Purple B’s throughout her life. She moved to Utah in 1978, where she met her husband, John Farrer. They were married on November 22, 1980.
Regina’s career was spent serving people with disabilities and spanned 45 years, beginning at the Developmental Center in American Fork, the Lindon Care Center, and then with Danville Services, retiring from there in 2019.
Regina was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints, serving in the Relief Society, Young Women’s, Primary, and Nursery programs. The temple was important to her and she attended as often as she could.
She loved football and proudly cheered for the Denver Broncos and Brigham Young University Cougars. She loved hunting and fishing with her husband, and went camping whenever possible. Gina loved Diet Coke, making pastries and potato salad, and never denied her grandchildren a game of Uno.
Gina was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 65, and by necessity, moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Uplift Hospice, as well as everyone at Obsidian Homes in Phoenix.
