Richard B. Harris of Pleasant Grove, Utah passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2023, just days after his 80th birthday. He was born on July 13th, 1943, to Richard P. Harris and Louise Green Harris in American Fork, Utah. \n\nHe was the oldest of 3 children. Dick worked at his father’s Sand and Gravel Quarry business, then as an Aircraft Mechanic for Hill Air Force Base, and later in life found great joy driving a Head Start school bus. Incredibly social and forever a jokester, Dick was a wonderful storyteller who loved to tease and make people laugh. \n\nHis hobbies included golf, trap shooting, hunting, and deep-sea fishing. A mountain of a man, with an even bigger heart, Dick opened his arms, home, and heart to numerous people and pets over the years. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Rees Harris, for more than 50 years and together they had 5 children. \n\nHe is survived by his siblings Craig Harris and Liane Harris Clements, as well as his children Kimberly Morgan, Tiffany Deacon, and Amber Willis, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard & Louise, his wife Kathleen, and sons Travis and Ryan. \n\nFuneral services will be held on Friday, July 21st, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
