Ronald Heath Porritt, 61, of Pleasant Grove, Utah passed away peacefully on October 8, 2015, in Utah Valley Hospital, surrounded by his family members. Ron was born in Boise, Idaho on August 25, 1954 to Donna Lou Heath and Gail B. Porritt. He attended school at Ricks College before serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bristol, England. Upon returning, he attended and graduated from Brigham Young University, where he met his sweetheart, Suzanne Jensen. The two were married on April 28, 1978 in the Provo, Utah Temple. They settled in Pleasant Grove, where they raised their four children: Alisa Lynn, Lori Ann, Michael Ronald, and Sheri Suzanne.\n\nRon will be remembered for his great love of the scriptures, his dedication to his family, his quiet humility, his great sense of humor, and his loves for reading, fishing, and BYU football.\n\nHe is survived by his wife, his children and their spouses, and 9.8 grandchildren. He is also survived his father, his sister, and four brothers.\n\nFuneral services will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden Fifth Ward Chapel, 745 North 600 West, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Sunday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary,494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday from 9:30 0 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
