Ronnie “Shane” Schaugaard Obituary (1977 - 2016)

Ronnie Shane Schaugaard, 39, of Pleasant Grove passed away suddenly, Thursday, October 6, 2016. Shane was born August 5, 1977 in Provo to Ronnie Lee and Kim Whitaker Schaugaard. Shane was born with special needs but was a great source of joy to his family. Shane was a great example to his family and others teaching: patience, kindness, humility, and love for everyone. Whenever any walked past Shane's room, he would call out to them for a big hug. Shane was employed by Life Skills Vocational Center in Orem. He enjoyed many tasks that enabled him to be involved in the community. He loved being active and living life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by those he loved. He is survived by his parents, Ronnie Lee and Kim Whitaker Schaugaard, Pleasant Grove; two siblings: LeAnn (Jeremy) Woodbury, American Fork and Jeff (Melissa) Schaugaard, West Jordan and many loving nieces and nephews. He also had many loving care givers at Chrysalis where he lived for many years. The family is so grateful to those kind and loving caregivers at Chrysalis for their love of Shane. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing prior to graveside services from 10:00-11:30 am at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
